Hello!
Spliff has recorded many great songs. Which one do you like best and why do you like that one compared to the others?
My personal favorite is Labyrinth from "Schwarz auf weiss". I love the lyrics, and the arrangement is very dynamic and full of pauses , which makes the song light and rich musically at the same time.

I must also say that at the time "Schwartz auf weiss" came out, I think Spliff reached their musical height. Too bad they quit at such a moment in their career, one can only fantasize about what they could have achieved had they continued.

best song? hmmm...can't decide! really! my favourites are changing from time to time. i remember that i didn't like f.e. "damals" in the 80ies, but the track has grown on me over the years.
i like the musical flexibility of the guys...a song for every mood!

Hi Bjoern, hi steffen,
what an impossible task to tell THE best spliffsong. As you wrote before they have (sorry: had) too many facettes to announce one single song THE BEST SPLIFF SONG. I could tell a lot of different moments and situations, each one would have a different BEST SONG.
Anyway, I´ll try to name some of THE BEST SONGS I definetely wouldn´t wanna miss on a lonesome islands (or a fictive SPLIFF-concert next week):
Rock is a Drug (will never lose its power and fascination)
Herzlichen Glückwunsch
Notausgang
Jive
Labyrinth
Glaspalast (couldn´t live without it)
Die Maurer .............STOP STOP I´ll give up, otherwise I´ll end up naming all SPLIFF-songs ever made.
One last comment: the two songs I wouldn´t really need is the 45-version of "Rock´n Roll Refugee" (not the Schimanski-version !!!) and "Radio"

Hello all the Freaks,
my first heared Song was "Heut Nacht" (he was wrote from a Genius). This Song is my favourite forever and ever.
"Sirius" is the best Song from Herwig. The Song is so clear and fantastic.
All the other SPLIFF-Songs are great, but i don´t miss it.

I hope so......, for a new album(this year???).

Hard to say which song I like best. Since Schwarz auf Weiß is my favourite album, it's maybe Rosalie, Shuttle, Rand der Welt or Sirius.

Klaus Bergmeier you are wonderfull!!! als richtiger spliff-fanatstico kennst du doch bestimmt den 2.teil des von bernhard potschka produzierten--eine meiner liblings-platten des jahres 2000- 2part2;das ist etwas entfernt von klaus doldingers passport; aber nicht weit.aber das hat einen inklang wie spliff vielleicht 2007 klingen würden. also 2part2;ungefähr nach 3 minuten kommt dieser teil und das haut rein, weil der jazz trifft da den toppop voll ins mark. herausragend.ich liebe das. keep on !!! the show after s/w

2part2 - leider nie gehört. ist das noch irgendwo zu kriegen?

hallo , klaus, 2part2 ist auf der wundervollen " river of return" von der re-union-cd von Agitation free. guck mal bei Amazon, sie ist verfügbar!!! über caiman America- die liefern etwas spät, aber zuverlässig - ist sie just für 8.83 im programm. viel spaß damit; der bonus-track " keep on " hat übrigens harten spliff-guitarreneinschlag; alleine dafür lohnt sich das album. potsch ist der producer, aber auch als guit. genannt. und das abgerocke in keep on, das erinnert mich sehr stark an die riffs in deja vu; alleine dafür lohnt sich die investition. und : We are producers, schon vergessen? man liebt Spliff halt auch, wenn sie " nur " produzieren. auf meiner akuten hörwunschliste stehen auch schon die von herwig produzierten ulla meinecke-alben. hast du die schon mal gehört ?
